MONDAY 9/30

Woke up to sunshine and dew on roses.




+Mary Edwards used my Yogurt Brine for Fried Chicken Recipe and turned out one beautimous basket o' fried chicken, which made me smile hugely. :))))

TUESDAY 10/1

Finally migrated all my recipe links to this blog.


Made Ropa Vieja (recipe) empanada filling in advance for Saturday's Tapas & Paella Night with friends.


Threw together this Japanese - Vietnamese Fusion Cold Soba Salad (food idea).


WEDNESDAY 10/2

Picked some Thai Basil, Purple Perilla and Sweet Basil from the garden.


Made some (Mostly Thai) Basil Syrup (recipe) with it.


THURSDAY 10/3

Shared how you can use oven cleaner to give new life to stainless steel and enamel coated cast iron cookware.


Developed a Thai Basil & Calamansi Vodka Gimlet recipe in honor of some awesome people who make my work mean that much more.


Tried Okinawa Soba (food idea) for the first time and put some fresh chilies and lime in there to nurse a sick hubs back to health.


FRIDAY 10/4

Made empanada dough (recipe) in the morning so I could fill and fry them in advance for Saturday's fiesta.


Made some Fanny Farmer Mac & Cheese for dinner. (My fave basic M&C recipe, BTW.)

SATURDAY 10/5

Made some Citrus Basil Ginger Sangría in the morning for the evening festivities.


Debuted my other $2.38 clearance Target earrings for Tapas & Paella Night 2013.


Una fiesta riquísima celebrating friendship, life and delicious things with with great peeps.





SUNDAY 10/6

Was taken on a surprise shopping trip to The Forum shops in Carlsbad where I shot these lovely (and other) flowers.


Came home with my first new MacBook in 6 years and immediately had to take a nutty selfie on the new and improved PhotoBooth of course. :)


And so we begin again, peeps!
